The Legislative Affairs Committee represents the broad interests of organizations throughout Weber county and takes positions on current legislation, as well as advances legislation, that impacts the community.
Members of the committee represent small and large businesses, utilities, county and municipal governments, transportation and healthcare organizations, K-12 and higher education organizations, and nonprofits. Together these organizations come together to discuss legislation important to them, and through the committee, have a greater voice in public policy.
In addition, the Ogden-Weber Chamber Legislative Affairs Committee is part of the Northern Utah Chamber Coalition (NUCC), which includes all of the Chambers north of Salt Lake City: Ogden-Weber Chamber of Commerce, Davis Chamber of Commerce, Cache Chamber of Commerce, Box Elder Chamber of Commerce, Morgan Chamber of Commerce, and Rich Chamber of Commerce. With diverse businesses, community members, and legislators working together in this coalition, legislation can more accurately reflect what is important to Northern Utah.
