Through discussions and in participation with the Ogden and Weber School Foundations the Partners in Education Committee is on hold. The Chamber will continue to support the foundations through facilitating partnerships with local businesses. The committee will reconvene when needed.

PURPOSE
When businesses become partners with our local schools everyone wins. By giving of their time, talent and treasure, businesses in turn receive the satisfaction of helping meet the unique needs of the students and schools in their area. Additionally, education-based partnerships provide employees with opportunities to engage in the community resulting in a boost in employee morale.
For schools, business-based partnerships help students to understand the importance of community connections. Additionally, schools help increase awareness of organizations in the community where possible future employment opportunities exist which creates a stronger workforce.
Some of the ways businesses may engage with our local schools include:
- Basic needs such as food and hygiene items
- Student performance incentives
- Club fund raisers
- Athletic, music and arts support

CONGRATULATIONS TO 30 YEARS OF AWARD RECIPIENTS
Until 2024 the Partners in Education committee, along with Weber County School District and Ogden School District, Weber State University and Ogden-Weber Technical College recognized businesses for their noteworthy partnerships and sustained relationships with local schools. Awards were celebrated at an annual breakfast in the spring.
Beginning in 2025 the districts will hold separate celebrations to honor those who have contributed to enhancing education in their perspective schools.
